General RV is currently the nation’s largest family-owned RV dealer following their simple beginning.  In 1962, Abe Baidas, a gas station owner, took his family camping out west – a trip that changed his life and the lives of many others to follow.  He enjoyed that adventure so much that he wanted others to experience the same joy and excitement that RVing offered him so Abe began renting camping trailers out of his gas station.  There’s no denying that from the very first taste of camping, RVing and the great outdoors, you are addicted. The passion of RVing should be shared and Abe is now able to share it through 12 dealership locations across 6 states.

We had the pleasure of visiting with Bob McNamara, General RV’s Director of Finance/Compliance.  Bob is coming up on his 12-year anniversary with General RV.  A friend of Bob’s tried to get him to work for General RV for 3 years but he just could not see how it was possible to keep busy year round.  Bob finally gave in, started working for General RV, and quickly saw how wrong he really was.General RV location

Bob and General RV know that their customers are the heart of their organization.  They appreciate their customers every single day which is the key to their success.  They show their appreciation by always striving to ensure that each and every customer is satisfied and are continually looking for ways to improve the customer experience.  They want each customer to leave excited in knowing that they are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime and that their new RV is the vehicle that will help make those adventures possible.

Bob also mentioned that he appreciates how Coach-Net is also driven by customer satisfaction. He said, “Coach-Net strives to take care of your customers.  If you need something, just ask and they will do whatever they can to make sure your customer has a great experience.” He also mentioned that he values the incredibly fast response time Coach-Net gives their customers in their time of need.

Bob’s invaluable advice to new RVers is, “RVing is a lifestyle.  The more you put into it, the more you will enjoy it.”
