Gerzeny’s RV World, a family owned and operated dealership, is located in Florida and is comprised of four locations – Lakeland, Bradenton, Fort Meyers, and their flagship store in Nokomis, Florida. Their mission is to find the perfect vehicle for their customers’ journeys – wherever it may take them. They take this mission seriously, live by it every single day, and have been doing so for 40 years. They are the biggest Class B dealer in the US and have the very unique position of being both an RV dealership and a manufacturer. They manufacture Coach House RV Class B vans at their Nokomis location so they are able to both build and sell motorhomes.
Coach-Net’s Stacy Fendley, Regional Sales Representative, was extremely delighted to be able to visit with Gary O’Callaghan, Finance Director of Gerzeny’s RV World. Gary has just celebrated his 1-year anniversary with Gerzeny’s RV World and cannot wait to experience many more. Gary came to Gerzeny’s RV World after 22 years of working for Toyota and Lexus. He knew he needed a change and the RV industry offered him exactly what he desired – different hours, a different atmosphere and different clientele. Gerzeny’s RV World had just expanded with the opening of 2 new locations in Bradenton and Fort Myers, Florida and Gary was the perfect candidate for this new opportunity.
“The three key reasons Gerzeny’s dealerships are so successful”, Gary mentioned, “is because they are 1) family owned and operated. It’s a completely different level of service and an entirely different atmosphere which leads to the second reason for their success 2) the staff. The staff has so much experience between management and the entire finance team. As the finance director, Gary operates out of the Bradenton location, but he says they have a strong and dedicated team of Jim Alba, Kelli Simpson, Lisa Arcuri, and Nikki Peek who ensure that all 4 locations provide the highest level of customer service possible. Finally, 3) the third biggest reason for their success is their fantastic service department. If a customer is not happy with service, then they won’t come back and they won’t refer the dealership to their friends and family. A huge part of their business is return customers and the customers they refer. It largely comes down to the amazing work performed by everyone in their service department.”
Improving the RV experience plays a vital role in gaining repeat customers. As a way of ensuring that every customer enjoys their RV adventure to the fullest, Gary values the services Coach-Net offers to Gerzeny’s and their customers. He mentioned that Coach-Net’s Finish Protect is absolutely amazing. He has seen, first hand, how Finish Protect safeguards the RV and, consequently, the customer’s investment by helping to maintain the RV’s showroom look.
He also noted that Coach-Net’s RV service contracts are priced right and the claims are always processed and paid in an easy and efficient manner, never experiencing any issues.
Gary does offer some advice to other dealers getting started with Coach-Net’s products. He said, ”Make sure you always have your Coach-Net representative’s phone number. You can always call and they will handle whatever issues may arise. The personal attention they provide is invaluable.”
He also offers advice for RV owners – “Get out and enjoy yourself. Life is too short so don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Gary and everyone else in the Gerzeny’s RV World family do everything they can to make sure customers and their families have everything they need – from high quality units to service contracts, paint & fabric protection, and roadside assistance – so that their customers can simply relax and enjoy their adventure. Gary loves going home at night knowing that he has helped a family enrich their lives and achieve their dreams.
Thank you, Gary and Gerzeny’s RV World, for being your customers’ connection to carefree RVing.
