Vogt RV

“You can’t be right by doing wrong, and you can’t be wrong by doing right.” For decades this tried and true motto has been the cornerstone of Vogt RV Centers and Airstream of DFW in Fort Worth, Texas. What began as a personal motto, slowly developed into a family maxim, and is now the compass for everyone at Vogt RV. Having grown up working in the family business, Aaron Vogt is now the President. The company has undergone a recent expansion under Aaron’s leadership, but Vogt RV’s story begins long before the dealership was first established in 1967.

The Vogt Family has been sharing their passion for the outdoors with the north Texas community for over seven decades. In 1945, Aaron’s grandfather Virgal Vogt opened Twin Points Camp on Eagle Mountain Lake. In 1950, he sold the camp and opened Vogt Sales & Service establishing themselves as a major leader in the marine sales industry. Virgal Vogt even became one of the founding members of the Tarrant County Marine Dealers Association where together they organized the very first Fort Worth Boat Show. But Virgal wasn’t the only one in the family with a passion for business and the outdoors. In 1967 Aaron’s uncle Danny opened a truck camper dealership next door to the boat dealership. And astonishingly enough, Danny Vogt was only 17 at the time he established what would eventually evolve into Vogt RV Center. After creating numerous car dealerships, and an RV dealership, fast forward to today the Vogt family now dedicates their sole focus to the RV industry.

Aaron grew up working in the dealership, working shop and detail during the summers, but in 1999 he started as a full-time employee. And now Aaron is leading his team into new and exciting territory with the grand opening of Airstream of DFW. Expanding to open a dealership location dedicated to Airstream trailers was a natural and inevitable progression. The Airstream brand is iconic, just like Vogt RV, and they both innately represent the core value of RVing which distinguishes this industry from so many others: culture of integrity. In fact, Aaron says the three pillars which Vogt RV’s success is built around are 1) manufacturers & partners, 2) their dedicated employees, and 3) their culture of integrity. RVing is a celebration of traditional values, family, and fellowship. It’s about slowing down and taking the time to appreciate nature, family, and friends. It encourages you to simply enjoy the moment and the process of doing the right things, in the right way.

That’s the culture of integrity Aaron is so proud of, and it’s a culture that his employees find themselves thriving in.
