We recently had the pleasure of attending RVWA’s first-ever educational symposium. Here some of Coach-Net’s established and emerging leaders were able to fine-tune and polish their skills by attending the seminars run by Purdue University. The week started off with a wonderful cocktail hour where woman and men could network while enjoying light hors d’oeuvres and drinks to accompany them.
The following day we got down to business and enjoyed the seminar on ‘Effecting Coaching, Communication and Listening’. That night we had a wonderful dinner at the award ceremony, where our very own Kim Gregory was nominated and won the “Champion of Women” award. This award is given to those who make the biggest difference for women in the RV industry and those who embody RVWA’s mission to “elevate, educate and promote women in the RV industry.” We heard from the inspiring keynote speaker that evening, Mary Kelly.
The two-day event ended with a second seminar on ‘Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access’, followed by mentoring sessions where we had the honor of learning from some of the industry’s most-established women. They shared their insights and knowledge to help us all grow and harness our skills.
The whole event was an honor to be a part of, and we are already excited to attend next year! If you are not a member of RVWA, we strongly recommend you look into it for you and others at your dealership.
